Spirituality, contentment, and stress in recovering alcoholics
Article Abstract:
The relationships among length of sobriety, spirituality, life contentment, and stress level were examined in a sample of recovering alcoholics attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Spirituality was significantly associated with length of sobriety as well as with contentment; and significant gender differences were found in the relationships among spirituality, contentment, and stress level.

Reducing heavy drinking in college males with the decisional balance: analyzing an element of Motivational Interviewing
Article Abstract:
Studies indicate that decisional balance plays a key role in interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, using alcohol consumption by male college students as an illustration. Clinically meaningful and statistically significant results in decreasing alcohol consumption were obtained as shown in one-month follow-up reports.
