Stress among males recovering from substance abuse
Article Abstract:
The magnitude and types of stress experienced by males recovering from substance addiction are determined using the Stress Audit self-report inventory. Males recovering from substance abuse were found to have higher stress levels than non-alcoholic males. The higher stress levels, which sometimes cause relapse in some addicts, point to the importance of including stress management courses in drug rehabilitations programs.
