Striving for a consistent life story: congnitive reactions to autobiographical memories
Article Abstract:
Remembered life events elicit feelings of well-being on whether they are consistent with beliefs about that period and, if not, whether cognitive reaction restores consistency. Experiments with cognitive reactions showed they moderated the relationship between well-being and consistent recall.

Time in autobiographical memory
Article Abstract:
Research on memory for the times of past events revealed ten main phenomenon that constrain theoretical accounts of time in autobiographical memory. A combination of processes, most notably the reconstruction of the past times, underlies the chronological sense of the past.
