Self-efficacy, attendance, and weight loss in obesity treatment
Article Abstract:
The predictive value for the 20-item Weight Efficacy Lifestyle Questionnaire (WEL) to program attendance and weight loss was determined. The results support the contention that WEL is one of the most psychometrically sophisticated measures of self-efficacy for weight control. However it was not associated with either program attendance or weight loss and did not discriminate among the three classes of obesity.
