The importation of high technology services into the home
Article Abstract:
Some home care agencies provide or are planning to provide the delivery of high technology home health care services. Some of the issues that must be considered in high-tech home care services include admissions criteria, staff training and supervision, administration and management, quality assurance and patient assessment and training. Some of the more common high-tech medical care services which can be provided at home are cardiac care, infusion therapy, artificial nutrition and hydration and personal emergency response systems.

Introduction
Article Abstract:
In-home services have grown despite the notion that federal resource problems will compromise health care programs for older people. There are 15,027 home care agencies in the U.S. as of March 1994, excluding those that are not recognized by the National Association of Home Care. Although representing only a relatively small part of the health care sector, home care is the fastest growing segment of the health care delivery system with a growth rate of 15%-20% per year.

Marketing techniques for home care programs
Article Abstract:
A growing number of home care agencies are implementing aggressive marketing efforts to foster long-term organizational survival. However, some marketing initiatives are bound to fail because of lack of preliminary planning and research, lack of focus, lack of financial resources and expertise and unrealistic goals. Effective marketing initiatives in home health allow home care agencies to anticipate and react to business and economic changes and government regulations.
