The validity of self-reported criminal arrest history among clients of a psychiatric probation and parole service
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the effect of mental health and substance abuse factors on the reliability of self-reported data from prisoners is presented. Results indicate that self-reported arrest histories provided by clients of a psychiatric probation and parole service were as valid as those provided by general offender populations.

Impact of horticultural therapy on vulnerability and resistance to substance abuse among incarcerated offenders
Article Abstract:
Issues regarding the influence of horticultural therapy on tension and distress in prisoners are discussed. A sample of 33 prisoners with significant substance abuse history were given various tests both before and after the therapy showed a decrease in such symptoms, but not the expected increases in self-esteem.

Progress in treatment and experienced and expressed anger among incarcerated men
Article Abstract:
A study of 56 incarcerated male prisoners examined the relationship between treatment progress and anger experience and expression. Results indicate that high progress subjects had more anger control and lower anger experience and expression that subjects with fewer treatment gains.
