Using implicit goal priming to improve the quality of self-report data
Article Abstract:
A methodology that uses implicit goal priming to influence self-reports is described. The findings are described in terms of their implication for assessing sensitive behaviors in particular and for improving the quality of self-report measures in psychological research more generally, and an agenda for future research is proposed.

People as intuitive prosecutors: The impact of social-control goals on attributions of responsibility
Article Abstract:
Three experiments that were conducted to explore determinants of punitive character attributions to norm violators are discussed. The results show that societal threats activate a prosecutorial mindset that can be identified by correlated attributions, punishment goals, emotions and punitiveness.

Expectations and emotions of Olympic athletes
Article Abstract:
Olympic athletes are more likely to make counterfactual comparisons based on their prior expectations, consistent with decision affect theory. Silver medalists are more likely to be disappointed because their personal expectations are higher than those of bronze medalists.
