Violence against gays and lesbians
Article Abstract:
The history of legal discrimination against gays and lesbians, including underreporting and lax prosecutive of hate crimes, sodomy laws, and military discrimination, is reviewed. The state of criminal justice scholarship, and legal theory, is also examined.

Guilty or innocent: evaluation bias as a function of information format
Article Abstract:
A study examined how audiovisual technology impacts perception of the guilt or innocence of criminal suspects. Results indicated that expectations of guilt were higher for suspects seen on a TV monitor than for those viewed live.

Race as a variable in imposing and carrying out the death penalty in the U.S
Article Abstract:
Capital punishment is not dispropportionately imposed against black offenders. In fact, most executed offenders are white. Data examined for 1976-1995 was analyzed, finding no discrimination against blacks in execution frequency.
