What part of what hole?
Article Abstract:
Thomas J. Scheff's presidential address has been criticized by some scholars as his sociological perspective depicts obscurity and vagueness. Sociological fragments often deal with the combinations of phenomena in an accounting schemes rather than qualitative, quantitative and theoretical style of works. A certain program aimed towards the examination of sociology as a field of science must focus on the tighter integration between cognitive psychology and the study of small-scale social relations.

Commentary on Thomas J. Scheff's triadic vision
Article Abstract:
Scheff's triadic vision encompasses the relevance of qualitative, quantitative and theoretical research in the pursuit of framing up trends for future sociological studies. Although, theory and research play distinctive roles in the formulation of sociological perspective, qualitative research also has its own share of importance in stimulating theoretical ideas. Qualitative and quantitative research serve the basis for more adequate theories.
