Americans bow out in second round
Article Abstract:
The recent Davis Cup tournament held in Prague, Czech Republic was dominated by the Czechs 3-2. Although without an Ivan Lendl, the Czechs managed to humble the American team who played without Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier and Michael Chang. Since 1992, US has won the Davis Cup only once.

Sampras' heroics secure Davis Cup

The victory of the American team against the Russians during the 1995 Davis Cup tournament was made possible by the heroics of Pete Sampras. He won all of the matches he entered, including the men's singles and doubles finals.
