Proving trials in the Beaver Islands
Article Abstract:
An account of sailors on the Beaver Islands is given, where the sailors had to keep their sails off shore to survive, since they had not prepared for such high tides and danger curves. This trip was undertaken in the summer of 2002, when they had decided to venture the azure lagoons, or the mangroves, which had warm waters.

The experiences of a couple of transatlantic sailors who wanted to know about what winter above the Arctic Circle would be like are illustrated. The indigo gloaming of Norway's Arctic winter has proved to be a magical backdrop for the explorations of Arctic winter by these sailors.
