A profile and interview with magazine art director and designer, Robert Black, notes his accomplishments and his desires for future magazine design. They include more and larger typefaces. Black has redesigned California, Rolling Stone, and Newsweek, creating a new typeface for each. Black believes a lack of typefaces is what has kept professionals away from desktop publishing so far.
