Effects of meal form and composition on plasma testosterone, cortisol, and insulin following resistance exercise
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effects of varying the nutritional composition and form of meals consumed at different times after resistance exercise on the hormone profiles of trained males. Findings indicate that variations in feeding time and meal form significantly influence testosterone and insulin concentrations, but cortisol levels remain stable across conditions.

Minimal influence of carbohydrate ingestion on the immune response following acute resistance exercise
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effects of carbohydrate supplementation on immune response and lymphocyte proliferation after an intense resistance exercise session. Findings indicate that carbohydrate ingestion had a minor effect on lymphocyte response but significantly increased post-exercise plasma glucose concentrations.

Astaxanthin supplementation does not attenuate muscle injury following eccentric exercise in resistance-trained men
Article Abstract:
The influence of astaxanthin supplement on symptoms of skeletal muscle injury in resistance-trained men after unusually rigorous exercise is examined. The study indicates that the symptoms of muscle injury pursuant to unusually rigorous exercise are not favorably affected by astaxanthin supplementation.
