The design section feature of Yachting magazine is celebrating its 90th anniversary. Some of the more noteworthy yachts featured in the section are Whittelsey & Whittaker's 98-foot motor yacht, Henry J. Gielow's 100-foot steel houseboat, Charlie Wittholz's tug-type cruiser and W.H.R. vanDam's 40-foot cruiser.

Yachting magazine has featured many yachts owned by the rich and famous in its 90 years of existence. Among these are the Gowens' Speejacks and Edward F. Hutton's Hussar. Gigantic yachts were the rage in the late 1920s and early 1930s, such as J.P. Morgan's Corsair IV and William K. Vanderbilt's Alva.
