Direct delivery: drops may spare vision without side effects

Researchers have developed an eyedrop form of the drug carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. The drug had been taken orally by people with glaucoma, but it caused side effects such as fatigue and depression. The drops inhibits the eye's fluid production, preventing it from exerting pressure on the optic nerve.

One study shows that overweight women had renal-cell cancer four times more than a control group of slender women. A sensible diet and moderate physical exercise will help to prevent cancer. Why the cancer grows on fatty kidney is not fully understood yet.
