Effects of exercise on heart rate variability: Inferences from meta-analysis
Article Abstract:
The meta-analysis of 13 studies was used for examining the effects of exercise on heart rate and measures of heart rate variability that is related to the vagal cardiac modulation and quantifying the relationship between changes in these measures. The studies showed that exercises have a significant increase in RR interval and high frequency (HF) power.

The prognostic value of ventilatory efficiency with beta-blocker therapy in heart failure
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the impact of beta-blockade (BB) on the prognostic value of cardiopulmonary exercise (CPX) variables in a group of subjects diagnosed with heart failure (HF). The results from the study indicate that CPX maintains prognosis value irrespective of BB use.

Resting heart rate changes after endurance training in older adults: A meta-analysis
Article Abstract:
A meta-analysis study is conducted to determine the effects of controlled aerobic training on resting heart rate (HR) among sedentary older adults. Results support the efficacy of endurance exercise training in decreasing HR at rest in older adults.
