Elbow flexion and extension strength relative to body or muscle size in children
Article Abstract:
The gender- and age-related differences in elbow flexion and extension strength children, when linear size measurements and actual measurements of muscle size were used as explanatory variables in a multilevel model, are examined. The results demonstrate that the interpretations of gender differences in torque differ when actual measures of muscle cross-sectional areas are used to adjust elbow flexion and extension torques.

A number model for risk of ball-impact injury to baseball pitchers
Article Abstract:
The maximum ball exit velocity (BEV) from a wood and a metal bat using the finite element method is determined. It is concluded that the performance difference between the bats was attributed to the preimpact linear velocity of the bat impact point and to differences in orientation on the horizontal plane.
