Polycarbonate plastic lenses are the only type to hold up under the daily activities of children. Glasses are commonly made with less costly allyl resin plastic, but they are not as durable. Polycarbonate lenses cost from $20-$75 but are scratch resistance and filter out 100% of the UV light.
