OsteoBiologics Inc manufactures small inplants that, after surgery, releases cartilage-like material, grows new cartilage and then dissolves. It may be used first on knees, then hips and elbows to assist individuals with injuries or osteoarthritis. The biodegradable implants have worked on test rabbits.

Kids curtail exercise

Mothers have less time to maintain an exercise program than any other group but would benefit the most from a regular exercise routine. Cooperative babysitting by other female friends or by husbands, running strollers and running on an older child's practice field can alleviate the obstacles.

Poor posture can slow a runner down. Good posture comes as a result of muscular strength. Specific exercises can increase this strength. Exercises such as the bent-over dumbbell row, neck exercise and seated side lateral raise are shown.
