The ratio of fat to muscle is a more accurate gauge of health than simple weight on a scale. Women with higher percentages of body fat have higher risk of diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. The Bod Pod, a machine that uses skin-fold calipers and underwater weighing, is ideal for measuring body fat.
