Hydration during exercise in warm, humid conditions: Effect of a caffeinated sports drink
Article Abstract:
A caffeinated sports drink (CAF+CE) impairs fluid delivery and hydration during exercise in warm, humid conditions is determined. It is concluded that CAF+CE appears as rapidly in blood as carbohydrate-electrolyte (CE) and maintains hydration and sustains cardiovascular and thermoregulatory function as well as CE during exercise in a warm, humid environment.

Carbohydrate-gel supplementation and endurance performance during intermittent high-intensity shuttle running
Article Abstract:
A study examined the effects of ingesting carbohydrate-gel supplement during prolonged intermittent high-intensity shuttle running. The results showed that the running capacity improved and fatigue reduced, possibly due to maintenance of blood glucose levels during exercise.
