Influence of nutrition on responses to resistance training
Article Abstract:
Little consensus is provided on the optimal nutrition approach for maximizing muscle and strength gains on the examination of a variety of dietary practices designed to enhance acute responses and chronic adaptations to resistance training. A model based on the pathway of adaptation is proposed to assist in integrating research findings from the current body of literature and various diet and resistance exercise configurations.

The new guidelines motivate athletes to assess the needs and opportunities for fluid and carbohydrate intake in their sport and to devise their own plan.

Postprandial metabolism in resistance-trained versus sedentary males
Article Abstract:
An examination was conducted to know whether postprandial metabolism differed between resistance-trained [(RT), N=12] and sedentary [(SED), N=12] males. It is indicated that postprandial metabolism is different between resistance-trained and sedentary males but no such differences exist with different resistance training styles.
