Article Abstract:
A research study involving 400 middle-aged men and women indicated that women who drank more than 5 glasses of water each day had a 50% less chance of developing colon cancer than women who drank fewer than 2 glasses of water each day. Men showed some reduction in risk.

Research indicates that a 30-minute nap can increase alertness if taken the morning after a restless night. Researchers suggest ending the nap a half hour before the time one wants to be most alert. A nap will be of little help if used every day.
