Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) is doing battle with the Indy Racing League (IRL) over control of the IndyCar racing series. The IRL is led by Tony George who controls the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is the home of the premiere event in the IndyCar series, the Indy 500.

Veteran's day: racing legend A.J. Foyt passes the torch

Former race car driver A.J. Foyt owns race cars instead of racing cars now, and he believes that oval race tracks are the only place automobile races should take place. Foyt won the Indianapolis 500 four times during his career, which began in 1957.
