Olympic attitude: why all the pros aren't wild about the O's

Professional tennis players must be in good standing with their national associations and make themselves available for the Davis and Federation Cups to be eligible for the 1992 Olympics. Because of these rules, many pros, including Martina Navratilova, will not be competing in Barcelona.

Billy Jean King's World TeamTennis competitions encompass players of all ages, both sexes and different ability levels. Tennis magazine joined the organization to promote National Tennis Month in Jul 1992. Most tennis associations have not shown an interest in TeamTennis at all.
