Peril in paradise
Article Abstract:
The Kapingamarangi Atoll in Micronesia is made up of 33 islets totalling about a half square mile of land. Considered as a Pacific Paradise, the atoll features palm trees and open-air hand-woven palm huts. However, it is very difficult to sail around during rough weather conditions.

A description is presented of the experiences of a couple who sail the Sea of Japan. The volume of traffic in these waters, typhoon season and hospitality of the people are discussed. Advice is included on customs and visas.
