A study of women who ate low-fat diets showed that they felt more energetic, less depressed and less anxious than when they consumed diets higher in fat. The women also benefitted from lower cholesterol and losing weight, and found help from the support group.

A cream or other facial preparation with L-ascorbic acid, a particular type of vitamin C, may reduce facial wrinkles and other signs of aging. The preparation could prevent free radicals from damaging the skin. Further research is planned.
