RAS genes influence exercise-induced left ventricular hypertrophy: An elite athletes study
Article Abstract:
This article examines the role of renin-angiotensin system genes on exercise-induced increases in left ventricular mass in Italian professional soccer players. Results indicate that the genotype distribution found in the athletes is similar to the general population distribution and that left-ventricle changes are related to the presence of specific alleles.

Ventilatory responses to exercise in patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction
Article Abstract:
The ventilatory response to exercise is greatest in patients with severe left ventricular heart dysfunction, according to recent research. Exercise training increased oxygen uptake and treadmill time in all patients studied.
