Effects of eccentric exercise on passive mechanical properties of human gastrocnemius in vivo
Article Abstract:
A passive length-tension relation of a single human muscle in vivo is measured by using a newly developed method to quantify changes in the mechanical properties of the human gastrocnemius after eccentric exercise. Results found that the increase peaks at 24 hours and is nearly fully resolved within 1 week.

Resistance training for strength: Effect of number of sets and contraction speed
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to compare effects on strength in the early phase of resistance training with one or three sets and fast or slow speeds. Results suggest that three sets of exercise produce twice the strength increase of one set in the early phase of resistance training.
