Rogue science
Article Abstract:
The European Space Agency (ESA) announced that the weather forecasters would study satellite-based ocean surveys and the data, and electronically search images for individual wave extremes particularly of rogue waves. ESA report concluded that rogue waves are often found where ordinary waves interact with ocean currents and eddies.

Rogue waves
Article Abstract:
Extreme waves evolve as a matter of addition of waves traveling in same direction and same speed and they can be expected but not predicted. Studies are now under way on how random eddies and vortices might, in theory, transform an otherwise regular wave pattern into one that is sporadic and violent.
