Article Abstract:
A painful heel injury ended one woman's joy of recreational running. Every Sunday she and a group of women friends would gather to run for an hour and then eat at a different home each week. It was running for relaxation and social interaction. Her injury ultimately led to her parting from the group.

Preliminary research shows that vitamin E can decrease exercise-induced muscle damage. An antioxidant, it also reduces the fat oxidation by-products that can be detected in urine and the number of two chemical triggers in blood that may cause inflammation.
