Tailing loops: Causes and cures
Article Abstract:
A tailing loop is one in which the top leg of the casting loop drops below the bottom leg on either the forward cast or the back cast. To avoid tailing loops, the stroke has to be mechanically sound and the timing should be right and if this were synchronized properly tailing loops would not happen irrespective of the power applied on the cast.

Getting into the zone
Article Abstract:
A state of altered consciousness where the mind and the senses function at peak levels, referred as the 'zone' is described in the context of fly-fishing. It is suggested that the casting stroke should be grooved and smoothed to the point where one's forearm, wrist, hand, rod, line, leader, and fly are one.
