Techniques for turkey hunting are presented, with focus on methods of attracting the birds into the hunter's sight. Ways of calling turkeys are described and strategies of approaching the coming birds, such as learning the turkey's movements, are examined.

Some calls are more effective when turkey hunters encounter confusing scenarios. Hunters can shoot turkeys that ignore their calls and walk away from them by using the 'bird-dogging' technique, which involves using a crow call and hen call. Seven other techniques are described.
