The revolt of '68
Article Abstract:
The 1996 PGA Tour owes much of its success to the 1968 uprising by the touring professionals against the PGA. The tour players in 1968, led by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, sought to distance themselves from the club professionals in order to get a bigger portion of the TV revenues.

Article Abstract:
Pepper, who first played golf at the age of 7, has won 14 Ladies Professional Golf Assn (LPGA) tournaments since 1987. She managed to overcome a slump in her career in late 1995. Pepper believes she also is overcoming her reputation for having a bad temper.
