The Vava'u Group is Tonga's prime cruising ground and home of the Moorings charter base but not many sailors visit this site. Vava'u is not developed and according to Moorings cruising guide there are only 10 restaurants in the entire archipelago.

A sailboat enthusiast describes how he repainted a 1974 Vineyard Vixen. He used US Paint Corp's linear-polyurethane coatings. The old paint had to be completely sanded off because it failed the adhesion test.
