Article Abstract:
The two-stroke engine business continues to enjoy brisk business with New Sulzer Diesel and MAN B&W benefiting from the upturn experienced in 1996. The New Sulzer Diesel 11RTA96C engine still remains the most powerful two-stroke engine for ships but MAN B&W still remains competitive. Both companies are aggressively competing with one another and against other engine companies who are also introducing innovative technologies.
