Article Abstract:
The Commission for Racial Equality has produced two publications aimed at reducing racial discrimination in the leisure industry. 'Ruled Out' and 'Have You Been Served' draw attention to investigation and consequences of subtle discrimination policies. For example many clubs operate proposer-seconder membership policies that often exclude non-whites. The publications reinforce a campaign targeted at large leisure industry companies, educational establishments and local authorities.
