Cashing in
Article Abstract:
Systems are available for efficient cash management in leisure operations. They facilitate safe collection, storing, sorting and counting. Collection systems include pneumatic tube systems and cash containers in vending machines. Security seals allow safe transfer of containers. Equipment exists to speed up cash preparation for banking. Window shopping
Article Abstract:
The CityWalk development, situated within the 400 acre Los Angeles Universal City area, is the first phase of a new attraction designed to complement the Studios Tour. It covers 43 shopping units on a 200,000 sq ft street, and offers toy shops, restaurants, candy stores and a book shop, among other attractions. This is one example of how the leisure industry is gradually linking with the retail sector to offer a focused attraction.

Feeding time
Article Abstract:
Catering facilites which match client needs can help to prolong and add value to the visit, and also extend the leisure mix. It is suggested that consumer attitudes are examined in order to provide an adequately targeted food service. Considerations should include market penetration; type of products which are likely to be bought; type and style of service; and amount likely to be spent.
