Heritage department shaped up for the future

Article Abstract:

The Department of National Heritage is to be renamed the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. However the tourist industry is concerned that the new name does mention tourism, despite the fact that the government sees tourism as one of the fastest growing sectors with regard to employment. Heritage Minister, Chris Smith, believes that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport is a department of the future, and a coherent policy will be implemented with the introduction of a Creative Industries Taskforce.
