Kids want to have fun
Article Abstract:
Leisure clubs can offer an atmosphere in which young children can feel relaxed and secure and enjoy activities with their friends. Placing all leisure activities under a single club banner can be effective in encouraging children to return to the club every week and to become involved in more than one sport. Separate activities should be provided for the three-four years olds and the five-seven year olds, and themed activities can be particularly successful.

Kids: who needs them?
Article Abstract:
Many health clubs and leisure centres are reluctant to set up programmes for children as they fear that regular customers will be put off by the noise made by children. However, clubs and centres which have put a lot of though into devising a children's programme have found it to be very profitable. Children's classes can attract parents to join a health club, and children behave well if they are given positive, consistent guidelines to follow.

High spirits. (play centres in shopping centres, pubs and health clubs)
Article Abstract:
There was a boom in indoor play centres for children in the late 80s and into the 90s, which were unable to sustain the business after the initially successful first few months. Such centres should have a long lasting appeal to children through a layout which is flexible, and can offer safety and good value for money.
