Land of fairytales and myths is just a day trip from the capital
Article Abstract:
Six towns in the Czech Republic have formed a marketing group called Czech Inspirations, which aims to attract visitors to towns other than the most popular city of Prague, whilst not competing with the capital. Cesky Krumov, Hradec Kralove, Kutna Hora, Litomysl, Policka and Telc are hoping that more people will want to visit the castles and chateaux, traditionally associated with fairytales and legions. Of the cultural events advertised, music events such as the Jazz festival, Policka 555, are to feature widely.

Bargains are gone but old world charm lingers
Article Abstract:
Prague, in the Czech Republic, attracts over 80% of the country's 10.5 million visitors each year because of its historical sights and character, rather than for its former reputation as being rich in post-communism bargains. Foreign investment has helped to renovate many of the buildings in the city and stimulate business. The Prague Government hopes to open a tourism outlet in London, United Kingdom in 1996, to offer a limited range of services.
