Major tourism aim is to beef up image in Europe

Pakistan is looking to boost visitor numbers by targeting the international market. Overseas tourism promotion centres are being considered in Korea, Japan, Germany, and the UK. Pakistan currently welcomes 400,000 visitors per year, including business travellers, tourists and those visiting friends and relations. The country boasts a variety of lakes, plains, desert, valleys, and the second highest mountain peak in the world.

New York City attracts many tourists, but it is proving harder to persuade tourists to visit the more rural areas of New York State. Recent political changes have cast a shadow over the future of the 'L Love New York' tourism promotion scheme, and the state's budget is also in doubt. However, efforts are now being made to promote the state to tour operators.

A capital atmosphere tops Ho Chi Minh's attractions
