Maori Tourism Conference "Te Putanga Mai." (1997)
Article Abstract:
Some 185 major players in Maori tourism development in New Zealand met at the 2nd annual Maori Tourism Conference in Auckland on Apr 8-9, 1997. Key issues in Maori economic growth and Maori culture for tourism were discussed. Workshop sessions focused on issues and trends in the development of Maori culture for tourism as well as environmental and cultural factors in sustainable tourism. Maori tour operators also presented case studies of their businesses. Maori leaders, tour operators and New Zealand tourist officials were among the guest speakers.

Stated economic and social motivations of farm tourism operators
Article Abstract:
The study examines motivations of farm tourism operators throughout Australia using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results show that different motivations are dominant for different types of farm landholders, and at different stages in farm, family, and business lifecycles.
