On the brand wagon
Article Abstract:
Analysts maintain that eating out as part of a broader leisure experience is a major growth area in the restaurant industry. The leisure industry is using a range of tactics to persuade the customers visiting their leisure facility that eating on their site is part of their leisure experience. Some leisure operators are offering themed dining experiences, whilst others are providing customers with fast-food outlets similar to major chains, as they believe that the customer profiles are the same. Some luxury food suppliers are also targeting leisure sites as retail development possibilities.

Dave and Buster
Article Abstract:
Dave Corriveau and Buster Corley opened their first Dave & Buster's restaurant and entertainment outlet in Dallas in 1982. Since then the expansion has been slow and careful. The company went public in 1995. There are general plans to open at least 60 more large venues in the US in the future, and Bass Leisure Entertainments has opened the first Dave & Buster's in the UK under a licensing agreement. The Dave and Buster concept involves food and drink sales combined with amusements machines. The machines account for 46% of the sales, and the company operates an adults-only policy.
