Wales
Article Abstract:
Wales is seeking to improve awareness of its potential as a holiday destination in the international market, as only 3.5% of foreign tourists to the UK make a journey into Wales. A lack of continental and international travel routes have not helped the situation. Up to 1.3 billion pounds sterling is contributed to the Welsh economy each year by UK visitors, while up to 100,000 jobs in Wales can directly be contributed to the travel industry.
