Article Abstract:
While millions of Americans visit Spain each year very few go to Galicia, which is in its northeast corner. Compared to the overdeveloped Mediterranean coast, Galicia is remarkably unspoiled with a climate and landscape more reminiscent of Ireland. Things to see and do are described.

Southern Spain is the birth place of the dance and song art known as flamenco. Flamenco is studied from childhood and is a vital part of the local cultural experience. Seville, Utera, and Jerez and the surrounding countryside are areas that have a strong tradition of flamenco.
