A month out of mothballs
Article Abstract:
October in Alaska represents the month beginning of winter. Wool, fleece and fur are brought out of storage as daylight time shortens. In October, summer memories remain and winter promises are not yet realized. October snow is savored, as it is the freshest and whitest of the year. If there is now snow, the aid is cool and crisp and insect-free.
