Buyers of porcelain should beware of forgeries. There are a number of different ways that porcelain can be made to look antique and some forgers will copy signature styles. However, copies of works are legitimate as long as the material is not misrepresented. Buyers should get sellers to provide a detailed receipt that includes authenticity information.
