Everglades National Park
Article Abstract:
Everglades National Park stretches for over 1.5 million acres with almost 1.3 million acres are classified as wilderness. An estimated 20,000 to 50,000 American alligators are found in the park. The park also serves as the home of 14 endangered animal species.

Bicycle and hiking trails that used to be railroads are a great way to travel because they are relatively flat, offer scenic views and are often near historic sites and hotels. A bicycle trip along the Katy Trail State Park in Missouri is described.
