Jeffrey McQuain's new book `Never Enough Words' explores English language etymology and how Americans managed to coin various phrases that expanded British terminology. Etymologist Gerald Cohen, also, is an expert in tracing various slang expressions, some of which are difficult to find in their original meanings.
